Four Americans Killed in Mexican Car Crash
Four Los Angeles-area residents were killed and a fifth was hospitalized after a car veered off an embankment along a coastal highway in Rosarito, Mexico, and overturned.
The accident occurred over the weekend as the Americans rounded a curve about 30 miles south of the border.
The driver, who died, was identified as Ana Karina Sanchez, 21, of Los Angeles. Mexican authorities identified the dead passengers as Patricia Maria Torres, 22, of Los Angeles; Julian Anthony Russi, 20, of Glendale; and Maria Elena Ceron, 21, of Alhambra. Police did not identify the passenger who was injured.
