Warhol Exhibit in L.A. Really Pops
Perhaps I was just in a really good mood the day my friends and I attended the Andy Warhol exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Art downtown. I found the museum and the area around it to be vibrant and beautiful. The Walt Disney Concert Hall going up across the street lent an air of excitement, and the imaginative skyscrapers of L.A. shouted that they were not just any staid, ordinary buildings.
The Warhol show was fascinating and extremely well done, although why so many chose not to pay extra for the insightful audio tour mystified us. The museum is airy, light and inviting, and the cafe has superb food and service. I think those who say Los Angeles has nothing to offer just haven’t spent any time in town lately. As for the Warhol exhibit, it is among the best I have ever visited, here in the U.S. or abroad.
