New Vice President Is Named at College
South Orange County Community College District trustees on Friday appointed a new vice president of instruction for Saddleback College.
Hans Kuss, who has a doctorate in community college administration from Southern Illinois University, will succeed the retiring Donald Busche.
Kuss, who will start his new job on July 1, is now chief academic officer for a Southern Ohio College satellite campus in Fort Mitchell, Ky.
Kuss was formerly president of Maysville Community College, also in Kentucky.
“He’s done a lot of work in curriculum ... and seems to be a real innovator in new programs,” said Dixie Bullock, Saddleback College president.
The college district is expected in coming weeks to appoint a new president for its other college, Irvine Valley.
