1 Dies, 4 Injured When Man Backs Car Off Hill
A 20-year-old man backed his car down a hillside in Beverly Glen early Saturday, killing a 17-year-old female passenger and injuring three others and himself, police said.
Ainus Lazdaukas was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and could face vehicular manslaughter charges, said Los Angeles Police Officer Don Cox.
Lazdaukas and four others were parked at Summitridge and Ferrari drives, north of Beverly Hills, about 2:15 a.m., Cox said.
Lazdaukas backed the car up and it fell about 350 feet down a hillside, Cox said.
Aukse Snaigoule was killed in the crash, Cox said. The others, including Lazdaukas, were not seriously injured, Cox said.
