2 Soldiers Among 4 Slain in Michoacan Shootout

Two soldiers died and a third was injured in a shootout with an unidentified armed group in the western state of Michoacan, authorities said.
Two members of the armed group also died in the clash, which happened as soldiers were combing for drugs and guns around the town of Tangancicuaro de Arista, the Defense Ministry said. It gave no further details.
The remote area is recognized as a site of drug production, and lumber disputes have occurred there.
