Accused Killer of 4 Delays Entering Plea

A suspect in the killing of four people in their Mission Hills home appeared in court on capital murder charges Tuesday but delayed entering a plea. Victor Govin was given until Aug. 12 to hire a private attorney.

His family owns the Studio Place Inn, next to the Universal City Inn owned by Harish “Harry†Kumar in Studio City.

Kumar’s wife, mother and children were killed May 4 in their home, which was burned down. The LAPD said the motive was a dispute over land near the hotels.
