Springsteen’s No Gouger
Regarding Kyle Mize’s comments (Letters, July 21) about how the Boss is gouging fans by charging $75 for the upcoming tour, I say this: Obviously, you don’t go to many rock shows and pay no attention to the music industry. While McCartney, the Stones, the Who and many others charge well above $100 for top-tier tickets, Springsteen’s seats are the same price in the entire venue and he only raised it $7.50 since the 1999-2000 reunion tour. If you knew what it cost to mount a major rock tour in 2002, you wouldn’t be whining about the “working people” so much.
