Real Run Basketball League Underway
Featuring many NBA players, the Real Run Summer Pro League will continue tonight with games at 6 and 7:30 at Veterans Sports Complex in Carson.
Baron Davis of the New Orleans Hornets, Paul Pierce of the Boston Celtics and Bryon Russell of the Utah Jazz have teams that play twice a week. Elton Brand of the Clippers, Penny Hardaway of the Phoenix Suns and Antoine Walker of the Celtics are among the NBA veterans expected to compete before the league ends Aug. 4.
The pickup-style games are played Wednesday through Saturday. Admission is free.
Starting today, the “Little Real Run” will feature competition for boys and girls ages 8-16. Games are played from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.
