4th of July Closures, Schedule Changes
Thursday is Independence Day. The following closures and schedule changes will be in effect in observance of the holiday:
* Offices: All government offices, courts, libraries, banks, post offices, and stock and commodity exchanges, as well as many businesses, will be closed.
* Public transit: MTA buses and Metro Rail lines will follow Sunday schedules. Metrolink trains will not run.
* Trash: Los Angeles residents whose trash collection day falls on July 4 will have refuse collected on Friday.
