Man Accused of Stabbing His Mother in the Neck
A 23-year-old man was in jail Monday after stabbing his mother in the neck with a kitchen knife and fleeing in her car, police said.
Lorraine Wu, 45, was in stable condition at UCI Medical Center in Orange after the 5:20 p.m. altercation with her son, Jason Diaz, in their Elmhurst Place home, authorities said.
“He took off in her car but then came back about half an hour later, after officers had arrived at the scene,” said Lt. Danny Becerra, a spokesman for Fullerton Police.
Diaz was being held on $50,000 bail at the Fullerton City Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, Becerra said.
