Taxpayers Should Decide How to Spend Increase
Though the quarter-cent increase in the sales tax [“Rise in Sales Tax Generates Little Uproar,†Jan. 1] “will be imperceptible to many consumers,†it will cause an important difference.
Instead of California’s consumers deciding how to spend the $1.1billion they earned, politicians will make the decisions.
