TV: The Golf Channel (today, 5-7:30 p.m.; Friday-Sunday, 10:30 p.m.-1 a.m., 5-7:30 p.m.; Monday, 9:30 p.m.-midnight.)
Last year: Garrett Willis won in his first start as a PGA Tour member, beating Kevin Sutherland by a stroke.
Last week: Len Mattiace won the Nissan Open for his first tour title, edging Rory Sabbatini by a stroke at Riviera.
Notes: Willis has made only $195,038 in 37 events since his victory last January, with $51,000 of it coming on a last-place finish in the winners-only Mercedes Championships. He has missed 23 of 34 cuts and withdrew from two events.... Former University of Arizona player Robert Gamez won the 1990 tournament in his first start as a PGA Tour member.... Four-time champion Johnny Miller shot a course-record 61 in the final round of his 1975 victory. He won three straight consecutive titles from 1974-76.

Where: Chapultepec Golf Club (6,943 yards, par 72), Mexico City.
Purse: $1.7 million. Winner’s share: $255,000.
TV: PAX (Friday, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.) and CNBC (Saturday-Sunday, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.).
Last year: Mike McCullough won his first title in 612 PGA Tour-sanctioned events, beating Jim Colbert and Bob Eastwood by a stroke at La Vista in Puebla.
Last week: Doug Tewell won the Verizon Classic in Lutz, Fla., holding off Hale Irwin and Bruce Fleisher by a stroke.
Notes: Irwin and Fleisher are in the field along with Bruce Lietzke, Gary Player and 2000 winner Hubert Green. Victor Garcia, Sergio’s father, also is entered.... The tour will be in California the next three weeks for the SBC Senior Classic in Valencia, Toshiba Senior Classic in Newport Beach and Siebel Classic in San Jose.
