Dorsey Football Players Get College Scholarships

Los Angeles Dorsey High, winner of the City Championship in football, had seven players accept college scholarships last week, Coach Paul Knox said.
The signees included Derron Ware and Nathaniel Weber to Michigan State, Marques Binns to Oregon, Tremaine Towns to San Jose State, Jesus Jimenez to Fort Hays State, Jermaine Moore to New Mexico and David Barker to Portland State.
Other signings and commitments:
Receiver Denny Flanagan of Huntington Beach Edison signed with Hawaii; Baker Krukow, a catcher at San Luis Obispo High, committed to Nevada--he’s the son of former major league pitcher Mike Krukow; twins Lindsey and Hayley Hunt of Pasadena Poly signed to play soccer at Stanford; Erin Droeger, a soccer player at Huntington Beach Marina, signed with Rice; Luke Powell, a water polo player at San Clemente, signed with UCLA; Pieter Berger, a soccer player at Irvine Woodbridge, signed with California.
