Man Is Electrocuted While Trimming Tree

A 25-year-old tree trimmer died after his metal cutter tapped a Ventura power line, jolting him with 9,500 volts of electricity.
Luis Flores of Oxnard was pronounced dead at Ventura County Medical Center at 1:44 p.m. Thursday, shortly after the accident, Senior Deputy Medical Examiner Mitch Breese said.
Flores was working in a eucalyptus near a home on Yuba Court.
