INS to Increase Fees for Applications, Services

Fees for a host of immigration and naturalization applications will increase Tuesday by an average of $20.
Applications postmarked or filed in person as of Feb. 19 must include the increases, or they will be returned without processing by the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service. The cost of an application for citizenship will rise from $160 to $185; for naturalization, from $225 to $260; and for fingerprinting, from $25 to $50.
