12 Shot at Party, 3 Critically Hurt

Twelve teenagers were shot, including three males who were critically injured, when gunfire erupted Friday night during a birthday party at a North Hills apartment building, police said.
Police and fire officials responded to reports of shots fired about 9:40 p.m. at the complex near Nordhoff Street and Noble Avenue.
The injured were taken to Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills.
Los Angeles Police Officer Don Cox said police did not know what sparked the gunfire. No arrests had been made late Friday night.
