Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian on Wednesday announced a $2.5-million grant from the Arnold and Mabel Beckman Foundation.
The money means $42 million has been raised locally for the $50 million Women’s Pavilion Capital Campaign.
The pavilion, to open in 2005, will be a seven-story center for women’s health care. A new imaging center at the pavilion will be named in honor of the Beckmans.
Dr. Arnold Beckman, a longtime member of the hospital’s board and its foundation board, was named chair emeritus of the board in 1990.
