Federal agents and the Orange County Sheriff’s Department offered a $30,000 reward Monday for information leading to the conviction of bank robbers suspected in 17 heists.
The robbers are known as the “Cherokee Bandits” because they have used stolen Jeep Cherokees to flee bank robberies in the last eight months in Anaheim, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach and Santa Ana.
They appear to be 16 to 25 years old and wear dark clothes and ski masks, authorities said.
