I have been using Paul Mitchell hair products for quite a while, and I have been hiking and enjoying the beauty of the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area for an even longer time. But when I read “Sale Links 2 Pristine Coastal Mountain Sites” (Jan. 31), stating that Paul Mitchell Hair Care Systems co-founder John Paul DeJoria has donated 417 acres of pristine coastal habitat along Malibu, valued at over $13 million, to the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy, I knew my brand loyalty had just gotten much stronger.
For the thousands of hikers who love and enjoy this beautiful, wonderful, fragile ecosystem I want to most sincerely say thank you, Mr. DeJoria, for your most generous gift to the people of California!
