Tecate Not Worth a Visit
I can think of a dozen better places to drop $400 than Tecate (“Opening a Door to the Other Tecate,” Weekend Escape, Jan. 20).
My husband and I had heard Tecate was a quaint, traditional Mexican town, so we took a trip there just after Christmas.
The town really has very little, if anything, to offer. We spent about two hours hitting the tourist office and the Centro Artisanal, which is one store in an otherwise vacant strip center.
Maybe the Rancho Tecate Resort is worth the money, but would writer Valerie Alvord really recommend the weekend getaway to a friend?
