Selective Logic on INS
Niels Frenzen talks of the INS arresting hundreds of men who voluntarily appeared at local INS offices and says that the rules seem to be guided by political rather than security needs (Commentary, Dec. 24). He never mentions that the men are in the country illegally and in violation of the law. This is the same law that professor Frenzen teaches at USC. This type of selective logic is why so many hold the legal profession in disdain and academia in disgust. Perhaps legal resources would be better focused on defending the Constitution rather than on how to circumvent it.
