On senior discounts

It’s clear from Paul Morgan Fredrix’s letter that the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s senior discount policies at Walt Disney Concert Hall need to be clarified. The Philharmonic has always been most generous to and supportive of seniors in our community. At this time, we are the only performing arts organization at the Music Center, except the Master Chorale, to offer seniors a discount on a subscription series and will continue to do so at Walt Disney Concert Hall. I am very sorry that Fredrix feels he was given incorrect information.
I want to assure him, and all seniors who want to purchase tickets to concerts at Walt Disney Concert Hall, that seniors can receive a 20% subscription discount in all sections of the house for the Friday midday series, and that senior rush (and student rush) tickets for $10 per ID, subject to availability, will be offered for all concerts presented by the Los Angeles Philharmonic Assn.
In response to pricing questions around our inaugural events, I would like to remind Fredrix that prior to the opening galas, we are offering to invited members of the community a full week of previews called “Phil the House,” which are totally free.
