3 More Women Held in Pyramid Scheme

Sheriff’s deputies have arrested three more women suspected of promoting a pyramid scheme marketed as empowering to women.
Christine Ney, 28, of Natomas, Teresa Machold, 49, of Colfax and Debra Walker, 48, of Fair Oaks were picked up Tuesday, said Lt. Tom McMahon. An arrest warrant was issued for Donna Goles, 37, of Rocklin.
They are accused of taking part in Women Helping Women, an illegal gift club that reportedly took in $12 million to $15 million in the Sacramento region.
