Coca-Cola Names New President, COO
Coca-Cola Co. promoted Steven Heyer to president and chief operating officer less than two years after he became one of the few outsiders to join the management team.
Heyer came to Coca-Cola from AOL Time Warner Inc.’s Turner Broadcasting System, where he was president and COO. He has been in charge of the beverage maker’s marketing and brand development and recently was appointed head of Latin American operations.
Shares of Atlanta-based Coca-Cola rose 25 cents to $46.75 on the New York Stock Exchange. The announcement was made after the close of regular U.S. trading.
