Plaschke’s Column Was Poultry in Motion
What a wonderful “Chicken†story [Bill Plaschke, Aug. 25]. In a subtle way it says so much about the pending baseball strike. The fabric of the game has changed so much that having fun at the ballpark and entertaining the fans is no longer a priority for the players or management. I, for one, miss the Chicken and what he and the other mascots gave to the game. It sure was more enjoyable than today’s “wave†or watching a beach ball in the stands!

Ted Giannoulas has my enduring respect for the joy he brought to the ballpark, and I assure him, “Yes, it was funny.â€
