A UC Davis animal resources manager has been arrested on suspicion of stealing horses from the Center for Equine Health, officials said. Connie Littrell, 50, was arrested after an internal investigation concluded that she altered records to suggest two horses had been euthanized.
Officials said a search of her Yolo County ranch yielded the two live horses, valued at $12,300. Littrell faces felony charges of grand theft of livestock and embezzlement by an employee.
