3 Plead Not Guilty in Arson Deaths
Three men pleaded not guilty Monday to murder charges in connection with an arson at a Hollywood Hills home where four members of a family were found dead.
Pravin Govin, 33, of Cypress; his brother, Victor Govin, 35, of Studio City; and Carlos Amador, 25, of Los Angeles are accused in the May 4 deaths.
Los Angeles police say a business dispute was the motive. Pravin Govin’s Studio Place Inn is next door to the Universal City Inn owned by Haresh Kumar, and the families had an ongoing dispute over the shared alley, police said.
Kumar’s wife, son, daughter and mother were found dead in the home after the fire.
