Ex-Boyfriend Sought in Woman’s Abduction
A Reno-area woman was left in San Mateo early Thursday after being kidnapped from the house where her boyfriend was found dead, police said.
Nevada authorities went to the 25-year-old woman’s residence in Sun Valley, Nev., and discovered that her boyfriend was the victim of an apparent homicide, according to San Mateo Police Lt. Kevin Raffaelli.
The man’s name was being withheld by Washoe County authorities.
The woman met with police at San Mateo General Hospital and said an ex-boyfriend had abducted and assaulted her before leaving her in San Mateo.
After the attack, the suspect walked away and left the woman sitting in her car, she told police.
It was not immediately clear why her abductor chose to bring her to the Bay Area. The man’s last known address was in the Reno area, police said.
The man, who remains at large, is also wanted on warrants for fraud and reckless driving.
