3 Court Commissioners Named to Judgeships

Gov. Gray Davis on Thursday named three veteran court commissioners to be Los Angeles Superior Court judges.
Kelvin D. Filer, 46, of Long Beach; Steven P. Sanora, 52, of Alhambra; and Thomas R. White, 57, of Canyon Country all previously worked in private law practices.
More recently, as court commissioners, Filer served in the Compton courthouse, Sanora in El Monte and White in Valencia.
A Superior Court judge is paid $139,476 annually.
