Man Arrested in ’98 Slaying of Teenager
Police on Wednesday made an arrest in the 1998 slaying of a teenager who, at the time, was sitting in his car outside a Fountain Valley party. Hank “Henry†Phan, 26, was arrested at his home in Westminster and taken to the Orange County Jail, where he was booked on a murder count and held on $250,000 bail.
“He’d been looked at from Day One, and we finally put a case together that we feel will stand the rigors of court,†said Sgt. Kevin Thomas, a Fountain Valley Police Department spokesman.
Johnny Tran was killed, and three of his friends wounded, in the shooting four years ago in the 8900 block of La Dona Court.
