Reward Increased in Armored Car Shooting
An armored truck company on Tuesday increased its reward to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone connected to the shooting death of an armored car guard two years ago.
Dunbar Armored Inc. had posted a $10,000 reward after the Dec. 7, 2000, robbery and killing at 820 San Vicente Blvd. in West Hollywood, said sheriff’s Deputy Roberta Granek.
Calvin Gibson, 27, was fatally shot inside an armored truck, authorities said. He was making a pickup at a U.S. Post Office when someone opened fire and took the vehicle.
The truck was found nearby, Granek said.
Anyone with information can call (323) 890-5500.
