A Taste, a Laugh: The California Women’s Law Center hosts this annual fund-raiser to help promote justice for women. It showcases women chefs and comics. Chefs participating in the tasting event include Josie LeBalch from Josie restaurant, Tara Thomas from Traxx, Allyson Thurber from the Lobster, Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken from Border Grill, Scooter Kanfer from the House, Terri Buzzard from the Restaurant at the Getty Center and Nancy Silverton from La Brea Bakery. He makes a six-course menu using dishes from his new “The Babbo Cookbook.” The menu includes items such as duck bresaola with fiddlehead pickles and red onion jam; spaghetti with spicy artichokes, sweet garlic and lobster; and braised beef short ribs with horseradish gremolata.
