Chatsworth’s Guntz Loses
Chatsworth High left-hander Joe Guntz (6-1) suffered the first loss of his four-year varsity career Monday as the Chancellors (19-2, 5-2), ranked No. 2 by The Times, were upset by Reseda Cleveland, 4-3, in a West Valley League baseball game at Chatsworth.
Guntz, who had a 31-0 record, gave up eight hits and one walk in the complete game.
Robert Marcial, Matt Jordan, Bill Spotiswood and Kevin Fitzpatrick each doubled for Cleveland (13-8, 3-4).
