Missing Teen May Be With Uncle, Police Say
From Times Staff Reports
A 17-year-old girl who disappeared last week may have been abducted by her uncle, Los Angeles police said Monday.
Yanira Elizabeth Lozano of Van Nuys was last seen about 2 p.m. Friday near her home. She had called her mother that day complaining that her uncle, Carlos Flores, 43, of North Hills was driving around the area and telephoned her in violation of a protective order, police said.
Yanira was wearing a gold chain bracelet that spells “Sweet 15.”
Flores drives a dark gray 1995 Mitsubishi pickup, license number 5W15193.
