I fail to see the logic in centralizing all the spent nuclear fuel rods in one place, especially with America under siege from terrorist attacks (“Nev. Governor Faces Long Odds to Block Yucca Nuclear Dump,” April 19). How much of the Great Basin and how many of the Western states would be rendered uninhabitable if a terrorist were able to detonate a nuclear device in a depository such as Yucca Mountain?
