Pay Good Teachers What They’re Worth

Re “Capistrano Unified Can Afford Teacher Raises,” letters, April14:
I am hopeful you will look into the comments of the Capistrano Unified School District in regard to the salaries paid to our classroom teachers.
The district is up to its old tricks again and publishing salaries for personnel that hold teaching credentials but are not currently classroom teachers. In my opinion, the only outrageous salary is held by district Superintendent James A. Fleming. Given the money he and his staff are paid, they have fallen short of any insightful management of this district. Good teachers deserve good salaries
