Community Center to Get $404,000 Grant

Delhi Community Center will receive about $404,000 in state grants, Gov. Gray Davis announced Tuesday.
The money is part of a $12.8-million grant for 17 projects statewide aimed at increasing child-care services for people in employment training programs.
The Santa Ana center, approved by the City Council in 2000 as a $7-million project, is being built by Delhi Assn. in one of the city’s poorest neighborhoods.
