1 Killed, 4 Injured in El Rio Accident

One person was killed and four others were injured in a two-car collision Tuesday night in El Rio, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred shortly after 7 p.m. near Rose Avenue and Walnut Drive, just north of Oxnard, authorities said.
One person died at the scene but authorities released no further details.
Two people suffered moderate injuries and two others had minor injuries, Ventura County firefighters said.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
