Joseph “Joe” Schermie, 57, who played bass in Three Dog Night, the highly successful rock band that produced such 1960s and ‘70s hits as “Joy To The World” and “Easy To Be Hard,” died in Los Angeles on March 25. The coroner was investigating cause of death.
