Developer Raymond Watt Receives Award
Real estate developer and philanthropist Raymond A. Watt will receive the Spirit of Life Award at a Tuesday gala sponsored by the Los Angeles Real Estate and Construction Council and City of Hope.
The builder, who launched the Watt Companies in 1947 and turned it into one of the largest real estate development organizations in California, has garnered numerous awards over the years for his business accomplishments and humanitarian efforts.
The dinner, at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel, caps a year of fund-raising by the real estate industry group, and is expected to raise $1 million for research and treatment programs at City of Hope.
