Panel to Hear From Top Monetary Officials

Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan, Treasury Secretary Paul O’Neill and Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Harvey Pitt will testify Thursday before the Senate Banking Committee on the health of the U.S. financial system, a Capitol Hill spokesman said.
Greenspan has been silent on the state of the U.S. financial system since terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon threw U.S. markets into disarray.
The U.S. stock markets are expected to resume trading Monday.
