“Whose Line Is It Anyway?” (8 p.m. ABC), the spirited improv comedy, returns for its fourth season with host Drew Carey backed by regulars Ryan Stiles, Colin Mochrie and Wayne Brady.

Kathleen Turner turned a few heads as Chandler’s estranged father (yes, father), a Las Vegas lounge singer who switched genders, on a wacky repeat of “Friends” (8 p.m. NBC).

A young man (Chad Lowe) discovers that his life mimics the plot of a popular horror novel in “Night Visions” (9 p.m. Fox).
