Re “Stay in Bed for a Month--and Get Paid,” Oct. 23: Volunteers spend 30 days in bed to test the rigors of bed rest and compare its relationship to spaceflight for NASA. Normal entertainment that includes “television, radio, cards, board games, etc.” will be allowed to combat possible “persistent boredom.” Oh, let us hark back to the days when reading would have been listed as a most wonderful way to be entertained.
