In girls’ tennis:

Palos Verdes Peninsula 16, West Torrance 2--Colby Comstock, Alex Jurewitz and Christina Jackson each swept their singles matches and the Panthers (21-2, 9-0) clinched their 11th consecutive Bay League championship.

In girls’ volleyball:

Laguna Beach def. Newport Beach Corona del Mar, 15-8, 13-15, 15-11, 15-8--Brittany Wood had 23 kills and seven blocks and Sarah Salem had 19 kills for Laguna Beach (14-4, 8-0), which clinched its 26th league title in 30 years with the Pacific Coast League victory over second-place Corona del Mar (15-5, 6-2).

San Clemente d. Lake Forest El Toro, 15-9, 15-4, 15-13--Katy Daly and Megan Blackshire each had 11 kills for visiting San Clemente (24-3, 8-0), which captured its third consecutive South Coast League title.

In field hockey:

Newport Beach Newport Harbor 2, Santa Ana 0--The Sailors (17-2-1, 13-1) clinched their second consecutive Sunset League title with first-period goals by Kelly Duffield and Kirsten Chamberlain..
