Two Lancaster men pleaded not guilty Tuesday to assault and hate crime charges in the alleged beating of a Latino man who they thought was Middle Eastern.
Timothy Allen Martin, 34, and his nephew, Mark Allen Martin, 20, were each charged with felony counts of assault and first-degree burglary.
Timothy Martin was also charged with assault with a deadly weapon, and his nephew was charged with a misdemeanor count of battery. All the charges carry hate crime allegations.
