TONIGHT’S TOP PLAYOFF GAMES

Santa Margarita (8-1-2) vs. Los Alamitos (8-2-1) at Veterans Stadium, 7:30--These Division I teams met in the second week of the season with Santa Margarita winning, 21-14. Ashton White rushed for 114 yards, returned a kickoff 69 yards to set up a score and stripped Los Alamitos quarterback Tim Bessolo of the ball at the seven-yard line late in the game to protect the Eagles’ victory. White, who has rushed for 1,478 yards this season, ran for 254 yards and four touchdowns in the Eagles’ 43-30 first-round victory over Rialto last week. Quenton Jones has become a breakaway threat for Los Alamitos. Jones ran for 197 yards in only three carries in the Griffins’ 28-7 victory over Santa Fe Springs St. Paul last week.
