Fullerton Lands Northview Catcher

Covina Northview catcher Sergio Pedroza, who batted .491 with five home runs and 26 runs batted in last season, has signed a letter of intent with Cal State Fullerton.
Other signings Wednesday, the first of seven days athletes in sports other than football, soccer and men’s water polo can sign, included:
Brett Hayes, an All-Mission League catcher at Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, signed with Nevada.
Richard Chaney, a 6-foot-5 guard from Los Angeles Verbum Dei, signed to play basketball at Utah.
Kia Riley, a 6-foot forward at Chino Hills Ayala, signed to play women’s basketball for Boise State.
Lindsey Richelli, a 6-1 post player who averaged 10 points and eight rebounds at Santa Ana Calvary Chapel, signed with the Biola women’s basketball team.
