Police Search for Fugitive Officer
Authorities continued to search Saturday for a Huntington Beach police officer who was to turn himself in Friday after being accused of fondling a 14-year-old girl.
Mark Trachman was charged with four felony counts of performing a lewd act on a child. Bail has been set at $50,000. Police spoke to the Riverside County resident about 1 p.m. Friday and ordered him to report to the police station. He never arrived.

Molestation case--The date of an alleged molestation by a Huntington Beach police officer was misreported in stories published Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The correct date is May 21.
The molestation allegedly took place while Trachman, 36, was taking a crime report from a 14-year-old girl at her home on Monday. The girl’s parents reported the incident to police Tuesday, and Trachman was placed on administrative leave.
