In other Division II games:
Trabuco Hills 4, Hueneme 2--Kyle Allen struck out seven in 2 2/3 innings of relief to earn his second save. Starter Mario Ramirez (3-1) picked up the win for the Mustangs (20-8).
Mater Dei 8, West Covina 3--Tim Stewart’s two-out, two-run double tied the score, 3-3, and Daniel Perales’ run-scoring single gave the host Monarchs (24-4) the lead for good. Anthony Slama struck out five in six innings for Mater Dei which advanced to play La Crescenta Crescenta Valley.
Edison 9, Katella 1--Jeff Gilmore pitched a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts and struck out the side in the seventh for visiting Edison (19-8-1). Eight different players got hits and six different players drove in at least a run for the Chargers, who host La Mirada in the quarterfinals on Friday.
In Division III:
West Torrance 10, Tustin 0--Nelson Caraballo pitched a one-hitter, facing one batter over the minimum, and six of West Torrance’s 10 hits went for extra bases as the second-seeded Warriors won in a game shortened to six innings because of the mercy rule.
The Warriors will play Laguna Hills in the third round Friday and are attempting to get back to the Division III title game, where they lost to Villa Park last season.
The Warriors (23-9) took a 3-0 lead in the first on an RBI single by Tony Cabral and a two-run double by Elliot Salcedo. They led, 6-0, after a three-run homer by Chris Caraballo in the third.
Meanwhile, Nelson Caraballo (4-0) was cruising, striking out five of the first six Tiller batters. He didn’t allow a baserunner until Carlos De La Riva walked with one out in the fourth.
Brian Judd had Tustin’s only hit, grounding a single to right to lead off the sixth, but a fielder’s choice and a double play ended the inning.

Santa Margarita 8, Agoura 0--Junior Eric Brock (4-5) pitched a no-hitter, facing three batters over the limit, and striking out seven, all looking. Matt Wilkerson hit his fourth homer and Michael Beattie added his second for the Eagles (15-14).
El Dorado 10, Redondo 0 (5, mercy)--Jeff Flagg (10-2) pitched a no-hitter, striking out seven, and designated hitter Micah Hazen had two hits and two RBIs for the host Golden Hawks (24-5).
Cypress 8, Paso Robles 4--Scott Moore hit his 10th home run and Zack Swanson hit his eighth to give Paul Mezzetta (10-4) the win for the Centurions (21-7), who play Westlake.
Laguna Hills 2, Elsinore 1--Brian Anderson gave up two hits in six innings to get the win and drove in the game-winning run with a sacrifice fly in the seventh for visiting Laguna Hills (17-10), which advanced to play West Torrance. Dan Miltenberger pitched the seventh to earn his fifth save.
