3 British Men Arrested in Incidents of Air Rage
In a span of a few hours, two British flights headed for Mexico landed in Bangor to unload three Englishmen in air rage incidents.
Kevin Sibley, 34, was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and possession of drugs after he and his girlfriend got into a fistfight on a Britannia Airways flight, police said.
Soon after, John Ward, 55, and Robert Doherty, 38, were arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct aboard a British Airways flight.
It is not uncommon for international flights to divert to Bangor to unload rowdy passengers. Located near the northeastern tip of the U.S., the airport also is close to the Atlantic and provides a quicker turnaround than busier airports in major cities such as Boston.
